7′s the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 doors. 7, man, that’s the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin’ on a branch, eatin’ lots of sunflowers on my uncle’s ranch. You know that old children’s tale from the sea. It’s like you’re dreamin’ about Gorgonzola cheese when it’s clearly Brie time, baby.~ from There’s Something About Mary
Every food I eat the day of and the day after chemo becomes a “marked” food. These foods are then associated in my mind with nausea and full body twitches. The mere mention of these foods causes me to bend over and mutter, “breathe breathe breathe”. This has caused me some embarrassment since I ate California Rolls the day of my second chemo. Now, I have to jaunt passed Japanese restaurants with my back to the window or crawl by uttering “breathe breathe breathe”. The Japan Society of Boston has apparently sent my picture out to all members with the caption “watch out for this wacko guy who will lick your sidewalk and do breathing exercises – give him five dollars and he’ll go quietly”. The extra income has been useful, but I didn’t like getting a bucket of salmon scraps tossed at me in front of Sakura-Bana two days ago. ~Source
